For established companies with 20+ employees
SOPs, support tickets, project histories and other everyday business records are being licensed to train AI. We check whether yours qualify and whether you have the right to license them, then introduce you to buyers. It’s free to you.
What buyers look for
Buyers want records that show how real work gets done. These are the kinds they review.
How it works
No files to upload, no system access, no obligation to accept an offer.
A few details about your company. We reply within one business day.
What you have, where it lives, and what you actually have the right to license. Nothing leaves your systems.
We name each buyer first, then introduce you to the ones that match. Each runs its own review.
You compare offers, sign directly with the buyer, approve what leaves, and the buyer pays you.
Buyers we refer to
These AI companies license business records directly from companies. We’re an independent referral partner in each program, not their agent, and we show you exactly what each one pays us.
Operational records across industries: financial models, underwriting workflows, operating procedures, production and test records, dispatch logs, product catalogs and technical documentation.
Anonymized history from the tools you run the business on: accounting (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite), customer records and support tickets (Salesforce, HubSpot), and jobs, dispatch, calendars and project records (Asana, Jira).
SOPs, internal documentation, knowledge bases, CRM metadata, project histories, QA processes and operational communications.
Approved business data for AI training and evaluation, from companies with years of company-controlled records. Knowledge-work companies are the strongest fit; operating, acquired and wound-down companies are all considered.
Requirements and amounts are from each buyer’s public pages (October 2026) and can change. Buyers decide what they license and what they pay. How we’re paid

MIT Technology Review, Oct 2026Why work with an IT firm
We map your systems (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack or Teams, your CRM, help desk and project tools) so you know what’s worth discussing before any buyer sees a word.
Client contracts, NDAs, employee records and licensed third-party content can make data off-limits. We flag them early and recommend your attorney reviews every agreement.
No exports to us, no passwords, no copies. You deliver approved records directly to the buyer from your own systems.
If you need hands-on help with exports or removing personal details, Marathon can do that work as a separate IT project, quoted up front. Never required.
Before you license anything
Licensing business data is new, and the rules are still settling. We’d rather tell you what to watch for than have you find out later.
We aren’t lawyers. Have your own attorney review your rights and every buyer agreement before you sign.

Who you’ll talk to
I’m Eric Valdes. Marathon IT Consulting helps New Jersey businesses with their technology, from company email and security to automation. This service grew out of a simple question clients started asking: is this real, and is it safe?
You’ll get straight answers, a careful look at your rights, and introductions only when you want them.
Questions
Records like support tickets, SOPs and project histories show how real work gets done. AI companies license them to train and test their systems. Whether yours fit depends on each buyer’s needs and review.
Nothing. We don’t charge you a fee, retainer or percentage. Buyers pay us through their referral programs, and we list exactly what each one pays on our How we’re paid page.
Each buyer pays its referral fee under its own partner program. Before you sign, ask the buyer to confirm in writing that your offer isn’t reduced because you came through a referral. We’ll help you ask.
Buyers set compensation after their own review, based on the size, quality and uniqueness of your records. We don’t estimate payouts, and past deals don’t predict yours. Some buyers publish ranges, which we link above.
No. We learn what you have through conversation. If a deal happens, you deliver approved records directly to the buyer. We never ask for passwords.
Buyers we work with start at 20 to 50 full-time employees with several years of written records, mostly in English. US companies have the most options. Buyers make the final call.
What a buyer can do with your records is set in your agreement with them. Ask about downstream use, exclusivity, re-identification and deletion, and have your attorney review the contract. If the terms don’t work, don’t sign.
Often, yes, but your agreement decides. Most data licenses are non-exclusive, meaning you keep ownership and can license the same records again. Some buyers ask for exclusivity, sometimes limited to a period of time or a type of use, or for a right of first refusal, and may pay more for it. None of the buyers we work with publish a blanket exclusivity rule; it’s set deal by deal. Before you sign, check whether the license is exclusive, for what scope and how long, and keep track of what you’ve licensed to whom. That’s why we introduce you to more than one buyer before you commit, and why your attorney should review every contract.
Yes, buyers accept direct applications. Working with us gets you a readiness and rights check first, introductions to more than one buyer, and help comparing offers, at no cost to you.
